Excellent article.

As expected, following the first stirrings of resistance to the replacement of Icelanders at Austurvöllur yesterday, the Icelandic media has cranked up the volume on cries of “racism” and “xenophobia.” Vísir, Morgunblaðið, and DV have each dutifully produced their ritual denunciations.

To reinforce your central argument, I would add this: within the next decade, the consequences will begin to bite the very Icelanders now entering the final chapters of life, particularly in the form of mounting pressure on the healthcare system and a scramble for spaces in nursing homes. Meanwhile, the housing crisis is already hitting the younger generation hard, many of whom now find themselves priced out of the land of their forefathers.

The blight of the "family reunification" programme is an unmitigated disaster. Iceland’s political class appears wholly incapable of grasping a simple truth: once Islam puts down green shoots here, it marks the beginning of the end of the nation.
